Psychodynamic therapy sessions, similar to psychoanalysis, focuses on the unconscious, your early relationships, and development as a way of understanding your current moods, behaviour, decisions and patterns. Sessions are confidential unless the therapist feels someone is at risk. Individual therapy usually consists of meeting once weekly for 50mins. Sessions can be focused towards an agreed end, or open ended. This agreement is will be based on what it is you hope to achieve in therapy and your availability.
